Senior Software Engineer (Front End)

Work in a distributed team using Agile methodology to support our DMV titling suite. You will work on multiple UI clients that support our software suite. This is a highly interactive role requiring the skills of a team player who can dig into the details of business requirements with sometimes complex technical constraints. You will need to be able to switch contexts based on business requirements You will be joining on the ground floor of our startup and will have direct input on our application design and architecture.

Frameworks: React, Redux, Material UI (MUI), Jest, CSS/SCSS

Tooling: Docker, NPM, GIT, Yarn, Lerna, Babel, Webpack, Terraform, GitHub Actions, AWS

Collaboration Tools: Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Slack

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement new features while continuously improving code quality
• Translate use cases, user stories and UI mockups into functional features using responsive design patterns
• Create or maintain system documentation
• Integrating and consuming RESTful APIs and web services
• RESTful API workflows including loading and error states
• Contribute to code reviews
• Coach developers on best practices
• Maintain code standards

Qualifications:

• 5+ years designing, testing, and implementing React JS or comparable framework applications.
• In-depth knowledge of UI design patterns, principles, and best practices.
• Experience mentoring/coaching other software Engineers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, backend developers, Product team and QA engineers.
