Job Requirements / Description

We are seeking Databricks Architect and Engineers based in US or Canada. You will be responsible for serving as a member of the Data Engineering Solution team supporting the client’s Trading-related data platform solutions and project implementation. The location can be Houston or remote with flexibility to travel.


Responsibilities

  • Provides operational support for multiple Trading desks by analyzing/resolving data related issues and maintenance or Data platform applications.
  • Hands-on expertise in Python, Databricks, SQL, and AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure high-performance data workflows
  • Investigate into ETL/SQL/Databricks/AWS issues and provide a solution
  • Develop new Data solutions using multiple technologies available in the market and cloud
  • Assist business users to develop their data models and platform capabilities
  • Coordinate and work closely with business and IT stakeholders to quickly respond with issue resolutions
  • Coordinate and contribute Bug Fixes, Change Requests and enhancements in close collaboration with Data platform stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines that automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Assist in the global rollout of the new data platform, ensuring that it supports the growing number of trading desks.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, etc. or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of hands-on work experience in Data related platforms and technologies (Databricks experience is a must)
  • Strong communication skills, with a background in cloud-based data solutions and business integration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize data workflows, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Build documentation for common procedures, troubleshooting scenarios, and system architecture.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize data workflows, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in distributed/remote team environments.
  • Ability to gather requirements, conduct analysis, create use cases, testing, and deployment to production
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills


Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience with other business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Excel will be useful.
  • SQL knowledge, including queries, updates, table creation, and basic database maintenance.
