Process Engineer

Job Description:
1. Understand and follow all workplace safety rules, such as safe work practices and standard operating procedures.
2. Coordinates with Plant to complete projects and work orders efficiently.
3. Under the supervision of Plant Manager
4. Create drawings for new and existing parts using drafting software (Solidworks or Autocad 2D) and maintain organized database of all drawings
5. Work with vendors to coordinate fabrication of parts based on drawings to specification
6. Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary.
7. Cost savings initiatives and process improvement managed through R&D trials of new materials with vendors
8. Responsible for reviewing priorities with Plant Manager/Management Team for the short, medium, and long term
9. Prioritize projects in the following order 1) Safety 2) Quality 3) Productivity 4) Other
10. Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety, quality practices, and waste reduction opportunities.
11. Meets plant objectives with high-quality work.
12. In order to achieve business objectives, able to work flexible hours or work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required.
13. Demonstrates computer proficiency in job duties.
14. Works cooperatively in a team environment.
15. Attend and communicate in daily management meetings and other meetings as needed.
