Job Title: RF Engineer
Location(s): Little Rock, AR
We are looking for an RF Engineer with Organization experience. You will work with a team of RF Engineers to accomplish all aspects of RF design for macros, modifications, and small cells. You will also be responsible for reviewing construction closeout documents.
Must Have Skills :
  • Prior Organization experience working with Nokia and/or Samsung.
  • Knowledge RF theory and design for 5G (any band) NR, 4G LTE, CBand/N77 and CBRS to contribute to network designs. Strong understanding of various RF tools such as Mapinfo, ArcGIS, Google Earth, Atoll, IXUS, FUZE Planning, Tracker, Dashboard, SPM, RFDS, and Conquest. Knowledge of massive MIMO and 4x4 MIMO technology.
  • Frequency/PCI/RSI planning and de-confliction.
  • Knowledge of productivity software such as MS Office and Google Suite. Superior organizational and project planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal. Works well with others in a team environment.

Desired skills:
  • Knowledge of scripting tools and automation using Visual Basic and Python coding or automation skills in any language is a plus.
  • Experience with Model Tuning. Understanding of LTE network KPIs and key parameters.

Job duties:
  • Performing Macro/Small Cell design in Atoll including antenna selection and placement for urban and suburban environments. Perform intermodulation analyses of antenna systems and components.
  • Calculate the efficiency of various multiple-antenna schemes, and analyze the tradeoffs involved in selecting from among them.
  • As needed, calculate link budgets to evaluate system performance and reliability based on received signal level and fade margin.
  • Determine parameters related to antennas (examples might include pattern, beamwidth, gain, distance from an antenna or array at which far-field conditions apply, spacing, beamforming, tilt, and sectorization) and analyze the effects of these parameters on coverage and capacity.
  • Antenna system design and use including antenna types (examples might include Hex/Octo port panel, cross-pol array, Matsing etc.), antenna patterns, gain and EIRP, ERP, antenna size, antenna polarization, receive and transmit diversity, MIMO antenna systems, and proper antenna installation to provide for coverage and interference mitigation.
  • Submitting E911 and TVW's to the CSCF team to meet activation timelines. Create RFDS' in FUZE and load CQ's via Conquest.
  • Review real estate applications for accuracy prior to lease execution. Evaluate regulatory compliance for sites concerning health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Conduct EME analysis, generate required reports and documents, and ensure 100% compliance to RFE mitigation standards within the allotted time frame.
  • Review photos, forms, and other documents supplied by construction contractors to verify as-built construction vs RF design.

Education/certifications:
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical field. Four or more years of relevant RF design and optimization work experience.

Logistics:
  • You will work a hybrid schedule.
  • Tuesdays and Wednesdays you work out of the 1400 Centerview Dr, Little Rock, AR office. Monday, Thursday, and Friday you will work from your home location. You are required to have ample home internet to remote VPN into the office.
