A DAY IN THE LIFE:
The Quality Engineer III plays a crucial role in driving quality resolutions as outlined by the quality policy and procedures. This position is essential in interfacing with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality objectives are met on rapidly increasing hardware and software deliverables.
  • Supports Quality Initiatives: Collaborates with Quality, Engineering, and Operations programs to achieve objectives and enhance existing processes.
  • Identifies Process Improvements: Works independently to optimize internal and external processes, continuously seeking value-added improvements.
  • Reviews Documentation: Evaluates End Item Data Packages (EIDPs) from internal product assembly, testing, and Contract Manufacturers to ensure compliance.
  • Manages Inspections and Reports: Creates First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) for customer deliveries and manages Corrective Action Reports (CARs) for internal and external issues, driving them to closure.
  • Enhances Quality Control Plans: Contributes to the development of quality control plans, work instructions, and training systems.
  • Supports Certifications: Aids in sustaining existing certifications and obtaining additional ones, ensuring compliance with standards and contractual requirements.
  • Analyzes Workflow Issues: Identifies workflow and production issues, recommends changes, and drives improvements to enhance overall quality.
  • Provides Customer Support: Offers direct support for hardware and software failures and assists with Return Material Authorization (RMA) workflow activities.
  • Organizes Reporting: Compiles and prepares reports and metrics for management presentations, showcasing quality performance and compliance.
  • Collaborates with Management: Works closely with all levels of management to ensure that internal processes yield compliant results with external standards.
  • Performs Other Duties: Takes on additional responsibilities as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to quality improvement.
YOU'RE AWESOME AT:
  • Quality Assurance: Driving quality resolutions and implementing processes to enhance product quality.
  • Process Optimization: Identifying and optimizing both internal and external processes to improve efficiency.
  • Documentation Review: Accurately reviewing and analyzing documentation to ensure compliance and traceability.
  • Customer Engagement: Effectively supporting customers in resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Data Analysis: Compiling and analyzing reports and metrics to provide insights for management.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent required; Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • 7+ years of cross-functional experience in Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Familiarity with quality control methodologies, documentation standards, and inspection processes.
  • Previous experience in the aerospace industry is preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, along with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance is required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting base pay range for this position is $112,000-$120,000 annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, Innoflight offers a competitive compensation package that includes Profit-Sharing Bonus, Cash Performance Bonus, and a robust benefits package. Innoflight offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts and life insurance. Ancillary benefits such as critical illness, accident, short term & long-term disability, pet insurance, ID & Legal Shield, Cal-Perks and EAP. You'll also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 120 hours of paid time off (starting in year 1) and auto enrolled into our 401K with a 3% automatic company match.
