Responsibilities:

• UI Developer for Smart Remit
• 80% front end, 20% back end
• Understand Java on the back end to make necessary updates while focusing heavily on Angular for the front end.

Tech Stack:

• Angular for building user interfaces
• Java as programming language
• AWS Aurora Postgres, MongoDB, Oracle, and Redis Cache
• Kafka and AWS SQS for messaging
• Amazon S3 for object storage
• Event sourcing architecture, microservices
• Amazon EKS for containerized applications
• JMeter, Blaze meter for performance testing
• Grafana, Splunk, and Datadog for visualization and logs

Call Notes from the Manager:

• Modernizing an application that is legacy from the 2000s
• Public cloud - scalable, reliable app on native cloud
• 2 years already on project
• Small team - UI gaps need to be filled
• Angular is the focus
• Not focused on the version of Angular, but should know the latest tech
• Kafka is nice to have
• Angular experience: 5-10 years
• Can come and start building new user interface
