As an intern at GF, you\'ll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives.Summary of Role:The Device Engineering Intern will work with a mmWave Test Engineer in the department to improve the automation process of RF components and RF manufacturing test equipment. You will write code to use and interface to RF NIST calibrated bench equipment to be used to calibrate RF manufacturing test systems.Essential Responsibilities include:Understand the current software and methods used in the mmWave calibration process{=html} - Identify areas of improvement in the software or method of calibration{=html} - Review proposal for improvement in the calibration process{=html} - Implement the new code and automation to improve the calibration processOther Responsibilities:Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.Required Qualifications:Education - At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a PhD in RF electrical engineering or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.{=html} - Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.{=html} - Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal){=html} - Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.Preferred Qualifications:Prior related internship or co-op experience{=html} - Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.{=html} - Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.{=html} - Strong written and verbal communication skills{=html} - Strong planning & organizational skills{=html} - Experience using a network analyzer, spectrum analyzer and mmWave test equipment{=html} - Strong experience in C++ programming and using Lynix operating systems#InternshipProgramUSExpected Salary Range\$20.00 - \$40.00Expected Salary Range\$0.00 - \$0.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.If you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at and let us know the nature of your request and your contact information.
