Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Sr. Staff Test Engineer that is located in Northridge, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops and implements testing methods and equipment.
  • Responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project.
  • Assist with scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing.
  • Managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the development team, program management.
  • Keeping the team focused on the project and moving toward reaching its goal.
  • Contribute to the development of test plans, test schedules, and test procedures and support for integration testing.
  • Support proposal development for upcoming contracts.
  • Creation and review of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) during proposals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science + 17 years of experience OR MS +15 years of experience in related field.
  • Experience assisting with scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing.
  • Experience managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality.
  • Experience managing test equipment, test chamber, test fixtures.
  • Experience program management leading and conducting regular meetings with the development team.
  • Experience coordinating across many technical disciplines to define operations and accomplish work efficiently.
  • Experience leading brief project status and developing detailed schedules.
  • Experience prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result.
  • Experience estimating task durations and executing according to schedules.
  • Experience reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, proposals.
  • Experience other technical documentation about test planning and execution.
  • Experience creation and review of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) during proposals.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Designs, develops and implements testing methods and equipment.
  • Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
  • Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.
  • Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
  • Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.

Salary Range:

$166,500 - $249,700

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
