Job Description
Reliability Engineer
Thatcher Company is seeking a highly motivated and resourceful individual to work in the Salt Lake City facility as a Reliability Engineer the positions would have responsibilities for provided support to other facilities around the country. Some travel is expected, (25%). This position requires the person to have a strong understanding of the monitoring and maintenance of chemical plant equipment, managing and championing of CMMS programs and the ability to direct pro-active maintenance & PM/PdM programs. Managing asset inventories including critical spare parts. Candidates with experience in other engineering fields will be considered. The incumbent to have sound engineering rigor, the ability to make empirical and logical decisions, interface well with plant managers, engineers, operators and technicians and apply theory to practice. It's all about execution and having an impact on the plant reliability, business development and company organization.
Major Accountabilities

• Subscribe to and actively support a safe work environment.
• Work with the maintenance team and process engineers to provide support for existing systems projects as well as supporting process improvements.
• Manage a CMMS including parts inventory as well as PMs for remote sites.
• Develop PM and PdM systems that meet PSM, PHA, MIP, MOC, and Regulatory Documents.
• Interface with chemical, mechanical, electrical, and structural staff to ensure accuracy.
• Ownership of and accountability for assigned projects, plant areas and equipment.
• Represent Thatcher Company in a comprehensively professional manner by developing a thorough knowledge of Thatcher products and processes.
• Ability to work in a team as well as individually.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

• B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience working as a Reliability Engineer. Candidates with experience in other engineering disciplines will be considered.
• 2+ years of experience managing PM and PdM programs.
• 2+ years of experience with PSM, PHA, MIP, MOC, and Regulatory Requirements.
• Experience in installation, troubleshooting, rebuilds, and repairs of industrial systems and equipment.
• A working knowledge of civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural design.
• Previous experience working at a chemical plant.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident status.

Desired Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the chemical, manufacturing, or related industry.
• 2+ years of experience working with regulatory requirements.
• Strong knowledge of CMMS software. (preferably Limble)
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience of industrial reliability/maintenance personnel
