Job Overview:

We are seeking an Imaging Service Engineer to join our team at Sodexo, working in Healthcare Technology Management (HTM). You will partner with our healthcare clients to manage their clinical technology needs, providing leadership and expertise for their business, patients, residents, and the staff who care for them.

Position Description:

Under direct supervision, this person will inspect, repair, maintain, and calibrate basic diagnostic imaging equipment, devices, systems, and instruments. You will interact routinely with other clinical health providers to identify technology-based problems and participate in on-the-job training programs regarding technical, administrative, and customer service requirements.

Qualifications:

  1. 1+ years of imaging experience (preferably radio frequency, X-ray portables, C-Arms, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, etc.)
  2. Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
  3. Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices.
  4. Ability to complete preventative & corrective maintenance on medical devices with limited supervision.
  5. Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills.
  6. Ability to participate in on-call rotation schedule as required.

Technical Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Knowledge of mechanical systems and tools.
  2. Knowledge of basic networking theory.
  3. Knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
  4. Knowledge of safety precautions when servicing high voltages and working with ionizing radiation.
  5. Ability to analyze electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical equipment.
  6. Ability to isolate, test, and replace defective parts.
  7. Ability to perform preventive maintenance inspections.
  8. Ability to maintain accurate records of repairs, calibration, and tests.
  9. Ability to run diagnostic programs.
  10. Skills in testing electronic, radiologic, and mechanical equipment.
  11. Skills in manual dexterity, hand-to-eye coordination, and color vision.

Responsibilities:

  1. Inspect, repair, maintain, and calibrate basic diagnostic imaging equipment, devices, systems, and instruments.
  2. Interact routinely with other clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems.
  3. Prepare required documentation and reports.
  4. Ensure regulatory compliance.
  5. Demonstrate a safety mindset.
  6. Financial responsibility for purchasing parts and service.

Education Requirement: Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronics, biomedical engineering, or other technical discipline contributing to proficiency of maintenance and repair of imaging equipment within a healthcare environment.

Functional Experience: 3 years of experience within a healthcare setting with direct responsibility for the maintenance and repair of clinical devices and/or 1 year of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment and/or entry level of formalized training and/or equivalent military training.
