A structural steel fabrication and erection company in the area is looking for someone with your experience. They are continuing to grow and are looking to add to their team. This position requires thorough knowledge of civil/structural steel and miscellaneous metals design and engineering techniques. Responsible to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Devise new approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Perform structural steel calculations for commercial and industrial projects.
- Review structural fabrication drawings
- Communicate with customers thorough written and oral communication
- Use Appropriate Design Codes for Projects
- Ability to Stamp Drawings
Skills and Requirements:
- Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering Degree
- Licensed P.E. (Preferred, must be willing to obtain)
- 3 Years of structural design experience (Structural Steel, Misc. Metals, & Pre-engineered Metal Buildings)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of ASCE-7, AISC, IBC codes
- Software: AutoCAD, Tekla, MBS, etc.
