LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Product Development Engineer II with a focus on electrical components for their manufacturing client locate in Grand Rapids. As an Electrical Product Development Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and testing of electrical products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems and components for new products.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze design proposals.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and documentation.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to integrate electrical systems.
- Perform testing and validation of electrical components and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the development process.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and product development.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical product development.
- Proficiency in CAD software and electrical design tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles and circuit design.
- Experience with PCB design and layout.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with embedded systems and firmware development.
- Familiarity with simulation tools and techniques
