POSITION: Senior Software Engineer

Position Description

1. Develop highly scalable API and work on full-stack projects;
2. Responsible for reviewing the code in TripAdvisor Advertising and Partnership Solutions projects;
3. Integrate AWS services into TripAdvisor micro-service architecture, implement 3rd Party APIs and build out data pipelines; operate across our technology stack in Java, React, SQL and more;
4. Take responsibility for all aspects of software engineering, from design to implementation, QA and maintenance;
5. Telecommuting permitted up to 100%. Travel permitted up to 5%.

Requirements

1. The position requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or a related field plus 84 months of post-baccalaureate work experience.
2. Position also requires demonstrable experience with each of the following:
1. Large scale, full life cycle development;
2. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and React.js;
3. Building microservices using Java;
4. Building data pipelines using Hadoop/Hive, Snowflake, and SQL;
5. Demonstrable foundation in data structure, algorithms, software architectural patterns, and relational databases;
6. Definition, implementation, and rollout of significant architectural changes on high volume websites;
7. API design including GraphQL or REST;
8. Integrating systems using APIs;
9. Analyzing and improving site performance and resource utilization across the full stack;
