We're looking for a Construction Project Engineer who will support Project Managers in the delivery of technical services to IWS projects in the Western Region.
Must be able to travel to projects anywhere in the state of California.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing submittals and change requests
- Document control
- Field quality control
- Processing invoices, assisting with billings
- Assist in writing scopes of work and contracts
- Assist with schedule updating
- Ensure consistent adherence to contract terms, plans and specifications, codes and industry standards as well as high safety and quality standards of work
- Establish and maintain positive subcontractor relations
- Work as a team player with project manager, superintendent, project team and subcontractors to achieve success
- Effectively communicate with and motivate workers, subcontractors and all parties on the jobsite.
- In every way you are training to become a Project Manager or Superintendent
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field of study or equivalent work experience is required.
- Minimum of 2+ years in the commercial construction industry is preferred.
- Experience in water treatment or wastewater construction or related heavy civil construction is a plus
- Familiar with all aspects of the construction process
- Knowledge and experience with plans and specifications reading and understanding to the level of being able to perform detailed estimate level takeoffs is a plus
- Proficient computer and reporting skills - knowledge of and familiarity with Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project and other CM software is a plus
- Professional skills: problem solver and self starter, attention to detail, punctual

Base Salary: $70k-$90k
