Java Server Engineer
Onsite in San Mateo or San Diego - candidate must be local
8 Month Assignment
Pay up to $59 per hour w2 based on experience
This position will be working with SIE server and user interface engineers to extend and create microservices for the core moderation platform. Our core moderation platform provides our Online Safety Operations team with tools to examine and act upon user-submitted grief reports against toxic content, and to manage proactively discovered bad content.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years experience creating Java microservices
- Intermediate knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
- Intermediate knowledge of working with Git
- Experience of working with AWS
- Strong relational database skills (Aurora/RDS)
- Experience of working in Agile methodologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work on their own and deliver with minimal supervision
