Cyber Security Engineer


Our client is fast expanding and is looking for experienced Cybersecurity Engineers to join their team and support their growth.

They are offering a 12 month contract, with a high likelihood of extension.



Your responsibilities will include:


  • As a member of the Cyber Risk and Resilience Directorate, you will join a team of engineers dedicated to leveraging advanced tools, techniques, and methodologies to address resilience challenges.
  • Cybersecurity Engineers will contribute to enhancing the operational capabilities and growth of the Cybersecurity Assurance (CA) Team, with a primary focus on developing and delivering cybersecurity training programs.
  • The CA Team creates solutions—including frameworks, models, tools, policies, practices, technical guidance, and training—that empower organizations to evaluate, analyze, and mitigate organizational, operational, and technical risks affecting critical assets, processes, systems, and infrastructures.
  • Act as a bridge between operational capabilities and the creation of impactful in-person and online training content.
  • You will provide subject matter expertise across the CA portfolio, aiding in the development of effective training materials and resources.
  • You will contribute to the standardization and documentation of cybersecurity assessments, develop security measurement techniques, and share your knowledge and expertise within the broader community.


You will need:


  • 5+ years of applicable experience (security)
  • Familiarity with assessment methodologies, strategies, techniques, and procedures.
  • Expertise in evaluating cybersecurity controls and practices.
  • Experience in conducting security assessments, including on-site technical evaluations, pre- and post-assessment analysis, and preparation of detailed technical reports and briefings for clients.
  • Understanding of critical infrastructure protection concepts and related standards.
  • Knowledge of information sharing models and practices.
  • Familiarity with maturity model concepts and their application.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, diplomatically, and effectively with clients, colleagues, managers, and other professional associates.
  • Strong communication skills, able to engage with diverse audiences from junior technical staff to senior customer stakeholders.


W2 Contract - 12 months - Option for extension
