Please note that this role is onsite - 5 days a week.

Lead and contribute to a user experience design group focused on Enterprise products in the Cloud and on-prem. The design problems are very complex, and the work is rewarding.

Our group supports several services in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) as well as Enterprise Manager, a large on-prem product. We focus on the Observability and Management of database, compute and middleware resources used by 1000’s of top companies across the globe.

Basic Qualification

  • 3+ years UX design management experience.
  • 15+ years in UX design experience.
  • Worked in Enterprise products catering to Business users. Experience with Enterprise or Applications Management software/tools a plus.
  • Experience in an agile development organization that iterates through requirements at rapid pace.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only:

US: Hiring Range: from $120,300 to $291,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  • Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Management Tasks:

  • Set and own UX strategy: Develop the strategic plans for the UX team — work with product management and development to determine how to best use the team’s design and research resources within the organization.
  • Oversee the UX team: Lead and mentor direct reports, make hiring decisions for the team, and help individuals improve by providing feedback on research and design work.
  • Delegate and manage UX deliverables: Prioritize and assign work to the team while ensuring deadlines are met and manageable.
  • Facilitate the design process: Set and maintain team workflows, evaluate what is and is not working, and document the design process.
  • Lead design reviews: In a design review, the UX team explores your product or website to search for usability problems and identify areas to improve. UX managers often lead this process.
  • Communicate with stakeholders: Speak regularly with other teams and leadership about progress, upcoming work, and any work requests assigned to the team.

Design Tasks:

  • Apply a deep understanding of users and the functionality to deliver high quality UX designs.
  • Develop rich, easy to use, web-based interfaces for a suite of system/application management SaaS services.
  • Collaborate with other designers, product managers, engineering teams to implement UI features.
  • Drive the lifecycle of the UI for features – from ideation through wireframing, prototyping. Be involved in the complete delivery of the features by testing and validating the feature against the design.
  • Responsible for creating, evaluating, and modifying prototypes to support evolving software requirements.
  • Expertise in using industry-standard design and prototyping tools and willingness to learn new tools.
