Job Requirements / Description

A successful Engineering Project Coordinator shall be responsible for the overall coordination of a project to assist with maintaining the accuracy, timeliness, and profitability of all assigned engineering projects. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications network design; ability to use ARCGIS and other office related equipment, familiarity with telecommunications design software; ability to read, understand, interpret, input and analyze data.

In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience:

  • the ability to work safely, with or without supervision
  • the ability to read, understand, interpret, input, and analyze data with a high degree of accuracy and completeness
  • the ability to coordinate the activities of others, as well as organize workloads and determine priority of duties
  • excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal and analytical skills, exceptional critical thinking ability
  • the ability to read and understand highway/road prints and identify conflicts with outside plant facilities
  • the ability to perform independently with minimal supervision, exercising latitude to achieve daily objectives
  • excellent manual dexterity and the ability to work seated at a table for extended periods

Responsibilities:

  • Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Develop processes to ensure completion of tasks in support of an assigned area, department, or project(s)
  • Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist an assigned area, department, or project(s)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 2 years of related work experience.
  • Proficient in the use of hardware and software (PCs, Tablets, IKE, ArcMap, Ocalc Pro, CAD, ArcGIS, Google, etc.)
  • Proficient in assigned function (Drafting, Designing, Make Ready, Geographic Information Systems, etc.)
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.

Work Environment:

To be considered for this position, a candidate must possess the ability to sit for long periods of time, while using repetitive and/or fine hand movements to complete computer related tasks and/or other office functions. Work is performed indoors and in a typical office environment.
