Growth and Advancement:
Assists Project Superintendents with the following responsibilities:
- Assisting in public relations, claims, subcontractor back charges, and force account work
- Ensuring project's contractor performance rating above 90 percent
- Processing all documents required to start-up project as outlined in project checklist
- Sub-Contractor Coordination
- Updating and maintaining C.P.M. under direction of P.M.
- Scheduling survey and inspections for field operations
- Updating and maintaining as-Built drawings if required
- Tracking quantities to ensure accurate payment by Owner
- Managing Blue Stakes
- Reviewing budgets and adjusting job costing
- Managing change order correspondence and tracking
- Ensuring timely and accurate Project close outs
- Acting as a company liaison with Project Owner and all Subcontractors
- Preparing RFI's, submittals and transmittals, change order log and serial letters timely and accurately
Track project expenses and record them in Heavy Job/Viewpoint on a weekly basis.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college, technical school, or university in Engineering or Construction Management
- 4+ years of project engineer experience within a commercial construction company
- 4+ years of project engineer experience with technical tasks (collecting, connecting, and reporting on multiple data points daily and reconciling reports, tracking quantities, RFIs, Change orders, etc.)
- 2+ years (preferably) engineer experience with deep foundations/pile and shoring
- Knowledge of field concepts, practices, and procedures pertaining to commercial construction
- Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision and as a team player
Ability to work well under pressure, meeting tight, multiple, and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
