Sygma is building AI Assistants for hardware teams. Teams building for mass production are often collaborating with many overseas vendors across a wide range of low-tech communication channels. Sygma is using AI to stitch together this unstructured data into a unified platform where hardware teams can get better visibility into their product lifecycle, while also layering on AI agents that help tackle the complex coordination problems required to build physical products.
Manufacturing accounts for 12% of US GDP and contributes $2.3 trillion/year to the economy. Despite this, manufacturing teams lack purpose built tooling to enhance their productivity, and instead rely on a patchwork of low-tech point solutions (slide decks, spreadsheets, email, etc.) that inhibit productivity and slow development. We envision a future where hardware development can be as easy as software development and hardware teams get the same level of love and tooling that software teams have taken for granted for the last 20 years.

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Founding Engineer at Sygma in New York, NY. The Founding Engineer will be responsible for writing and shipping clean code, wearing the product hat at times, and whatever else they feel like doing (we are a startup!)
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript
- Strong communication skills
