Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a motivated Jr to Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to join our team on a DoD DISA contract. The ideal candidate will have experience in AWS environments and a strong understanding of DevSecOps practices. This role involves working closely with development and operations teams to ensure secure, efficient, and scalable deployment of applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS services.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Conduct security assessments and implement security controls to protect cloud-based applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in DevSecOps or related roles.
• Proficiency with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with security best practices and tools (e.g., AWS IAM, AWS KMS, security groups).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (Top Secret/SCI preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Prometheus.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Previous experience working on federal contracts.
