Job Description
Perform research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. Design the program flow of individual pieces of software code, and perform coding and unit testing. Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize software requirements. Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of software system components. Work closely with other software development team members to understand software product requirements and translate them into software designs. Implement software development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews. Operate in various software development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders. Resolve technical issues as necessary, keep abreast of new technology developments, and complete bug fixes. Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field required.
- 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
- Also required is: 5 years of experience with Angular, JavaScript, Typescript, C#, .Net, SQL, HTML, and REST to build full stack software applications based on standard web technologies as an individual contributor; with GIT or equivalent source control to work in an enterprise software environment creating feature branches, performing code merges, cherry picks, and code maintenance/debugging activities; with Scrum/Agile methodologies to align with iterative, continued delivery of software products to market while operating in a cross-functional team; and with DevOps platforms and tasks to build out Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines to facilitate in automating tasks to deliver software to market at high quality and efficiently.
- Employee reports to LexisNexis USA office in Raleigh, NC but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.
- Experience can be concurrent.
