Job Details
We are looking for a Director of Engineering and Technology to join our Team! We're an Image Sensor company specializing in quantum photodetector CMOS-based image sensor and camera technology. Our company provides solutions for computer and machine vision applications in the Automotive, Industrial, and Biomedical/Biometric markets.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead Analog, Digital, Hardware, Software and Project Engineering teams.
- Develop and execute the overall technology strategy in alignment with the company's needs.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies and processes that drive innovation and promote efficiency and profitability.
- Oversee the execution of Design Projects for timely completion and quality.
- Create a collaborative and innovative work culture within the technology and engineering team.
- Ensure satisfactory turn-around time for all incoming projects.
- Analyze and monitor technology performance metrics.
- Create overall technology standards and practices and ensure adherence.
- Lead the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external relationships.
- Identify, compare, select, and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs.
- Remain current on industry trends and advise the organization regarding scientific matters.
- Develop and manage the development of annual operating and capital budgets for Engineering and Research & Development.
- Consolidate our technology platforms and create plans for each.
- Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity.
- Work closely with Marketing, Business Development and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar relevant field.
- Outstanding record of technical proficiency, scientific creativity, and effective collaboration.
- 8-10+ years of experience in multiple areas of engineering highly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role.
- Hands-on experience with complex project management.
- Excellent management skills including the ability to set high, but attainable, goals define priorities and timelines; manage individual performance; and infuse the team with a sense of purpose and urgency.
- Visa Sponsorship available for eligible candidates.

- The position requires travel for client meetings and seminars/conference attendance.
