Based in Hollywood, FL, Sintavia, LLC designs and additively manufactures critical components for the Aerospace, Defense, & Space industry.
We are seeking a career-minded individual for the position of Mechanical Test Technician, preferably someone who is looking for long-term growth and potential. SUMMARY: Responsible for the measurement, test preparation, testing, and reporting of various destructive testing programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Monitor and setup various testing programs including tensile, high and low cycle fatigue, hardness, stress rupture, and Charpy impact
• Perform tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support cross-functional teams
• Report test data, issues, and defects to project managers
• Maintain lab, tools, and related test equipment
• Interpretation of internal and client requirements
• Hands on equipment operation and maintenance, such as tensile tester
• Must be able to effectively work under the requirements of test schedules and shifting priorities
• Summarizes test results and reviews test results with Test Engineer and alerts engineer to abnormalities or inconsistencies in test results
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative setting with a diverse team of customers, engineers and technicians
• Tracks work hours on an assignment and record notes on testing
• Keeps work area clean, safe and in an orderly fashion on a daily basis
• Assist in other tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with mechanical testing equipment or software from MTS, ATS, Instron, Bluehill, or similar
• Minimum 5 years of experience required
• Must be a highly motivated self-starter that can identify potential problems and collaborate with management to take action
• Must possess willingness to assist where needed to ensure the company meets its goals and objectives on time
• Must possess time management skills
• Willing to learn and apply new skills
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively
• Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups
• Self-motivated, able to multi-task, and detail oriented
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills

REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to learn procedures quickly and be a team player
• Easily adapt to new organizations / technical environments
• Project management on small to medium projects
• High attention to detail for test sample preparation, execution, and documentation in a highly dynamic and productive environment
PREFERRED:
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Aerospace experience preferred
• Experience developing testing procedures for tensile and fatigue testing
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Frequently required to sit, walk, or stand
• Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
• Frequently required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
• Work on Specialized equipment
