Senior Mechanical Engineer - Aircraft and Missiles Ground Support Equipment

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Own hardware from concept generation to real world use
- Use first principles physics as a basis for every decision
- Lead design reviews, run analysis, visit vendors, define and execute hardware test plans
- Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production
- Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed
- Travel to test sites as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of mechanical experience in a professional setting
- Working knowledge of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-1791, and MIL-STD-1366
- CAD skills (any platform) and ability to make high quality engineering drawings that meet common industry standards
- Experience in an immersive technical project (collegiate project teams or professional settings)
- Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills
- High competence with, and fluid use of, engineering first principles
- Minimum B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field
- U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
- Must be able to obtain and hold a DoD Security Clearance. Existing Clearance a plus
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Performance Oriented Packaging (POP)
- Experience in NX/Teamcenter
- Ability to integrate electronic components into mechanical designs (motors, controllers, sensors etc.)
- Experience with machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and 3D printing
US Salary Range:
$142,000 - $213,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
