The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Digital Developer in our National Center office located in Dallas, TX or Home-Based.

The American Heart Association is looking for a Digital Developer to be a founding member of a new development team that will own the core platform that drives the American Heart Association’s fundraising efforts in schools. This new platform will be developed using technologies such as Azure, PostgreSQL, TypeORM, NestJS, & React. This is a phenomenal opportunity to be in at the beginning and help drive technology and architecture decisions as we design & build the fundraising platform of American Heart Association future.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a development resource for a core part of the new fundraising platform
  • Design, develop, deploy, support, & document new features as needed by our customers
  • Collaborate with the internal Business Management team to understand customer goals and translate them into architectural & application requirements
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, triaging, & guidance to internal teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 3 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate in the job offered or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in web development technologies, including HTML, TypeScript, JQuery, JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), Extensible Markup Language (XML), REST, and C# programming.
  • 3 years of experience with cloud providers such as Azure (e.g. Web Apps, Functions, Microservices, Storage, & Networking)
  • 2 years of experience leveraging frameworks such as React or NestJS
  • 2 years of experience in relational database development & SQL
  • Demonstrated technical excellence on a large-scale infrastructure application or distributed system
  • Proficient with data structures, algorithms, design patterns, & best practices
  • Experience with DevOps & project management tools such as VSTS & ADO
  • Experience with service management, operations, & telemetry
  • Enjoys collaborating with colleagues
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer service mindset
  • Excellent problem solving & a commitment to lifelong learning
