Java Developer

Overview

We are searching for a Java Developer to support our client, a large financial regulator, to be a part of a high-performing team supporting the development and enhancements of applications that ensure fair trading on the stock market.

Responsibilities

1. Participate in and lead design reviews and solutioning using the latest technology.
2. Write high-quality code that meets the latest standards.
3. Lead other team members in peer review of code and identify reusable frameworks.
4. Design, develop, and implement web-based Java applications to support business requirements.
5. Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications.
6. Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts.
7. Leverage industry Java best practices to design, test, implement, and support a multi-tier origination Java solution.
8. Assure quality security and compliance requirements are met for supported area.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
2. 5+ years of Java development experience.
3. Strong competency in Java 17 and further (the latest features) including writing testable code using Unit Tests and Integration tests.
4. Deep understanding and implementation knowledge of Oracle and Postgres databases including data persistence in JAVA using JPA/Hibernate.
5. Expertise in writing SQL queries.
6. Strong working knowledge in the implementation of CI/CD pipelines using Maven, Jenkins, and GitHub including code quality.
7. Hands-on deep working knowledge with AWS including ECS/EC2, Security groups, IAM roles, etc.
