Group/Division

The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. Our comprehensive services include proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

As a NPI Product Engineer, the responsibilities would include the following:

  • Gain a systems engineering level knowledge of highly sophisticated, groundbreaking wafer inspection systems.
  • Support external and internal customers in the operation, installation, upgrade, diagnosis, repair and application of systems.
  • Respond to situations where first-line support has failed to resolve problems by providing written plans of action or hands-on assistance at customer sites.
  • Write technical reports to communicate issues, analysis, technical assessments, system status, and engineering recommendations.
  • Implement and supervise progress of the NPI/Sustaining work tasks.
  • Work closely with Engineering teams, attending concept and design reviews to provide feedback on serviceability of new designs.
  • Drive small projects in a matrix environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, IT/Software/Networking, Electronics, Optics, Mechanical, Software or related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience building, operating, and solving problems for KLA Inspection systems.
  • Knowledge of servers, electrical and mechanical systems, and/or motion control.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Results oriented, looking for challenges, and driven to excel.
  • Quick grasp of technical information.
  • Flexibility to quickly adapt to dynamic environment.
  • Availability for travel both domestically and internationally up to 10-20%.
