Chief Project Engineer, Electrical

To succeed in this position, you are expected to hold B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (or similar). We expect minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering. Working in a multicultural environment, you have cultural knowledge and excellent communication and team working skills. As a Chief Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the whole own discipline or a defined part of the scope in project execution towards the Project Manager for the project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. To be a representative of the company and have technical ownership of assigned tasks or projects
2. Manage project activities, integration engineering and technical correspondence with customers, vendors and cross functional stakeholders as well as internal team members
3. Plan and safeguard execution of activities with the total cost, schedule and customer specific needs in focus according to standards and contract requirements, specifications, instructions and policies
4. Actively participate in customer, vendor and stakeholder negotiations and maintain good relationships
5. Identify, mitigate, monitor and report risks, quality issues, use of resources, cost, schedule and scope issues in projects and for products and work process improvement
6. Support project and sales teams in complex projects and stakeholders with concepts and product solutions maintaining and developing knowledge in the global organisation

Development responsibilities:

1. Participate in developing and maintaining of tools and work methods in own responsibility area
2. To give, collect and handle feedback regarding technical solutions and complaints
3. Provide lessons learned initiatives for developing issues in own responsibility area

Desired Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of Medium voltage system, Low voltages systems, Protection relays
• Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA and HMI
• Knowledge of power generation and power grids is seen as an advantage
• Project Management skills

• Presentation skills
• Problem solving and decision making
• Previous job experience from similar field of work
• Spanish language is seen as a benefit.
