Digital Strategy LLC is looking to hire a UI/UX Designer , working for a federal client on an urgent proposal. This position will be responsible for working closely with stakeholders to understand product vision and create simple, innovative, impactful, and elegant UX solutions that enhance customer experience, content availability and accessibility, and work across every stage of user experience, from designing new features to prototyping high fidelity solutions.

This hybrid role requires a minimum of 2 days a week onsite in Rockville, MD, and periodic trips to Washington, DC.

As the UI/UX Researcher and Designer , you will:

  1. Study existing UI/UX to find friction points and suggest improvement strategies in an enterprise application.
  2. Design and produce high-quality UI/UX solutions using wireframes, site maps, etc.
  3. Champion the discovery, research, and data synthesis to identify critical user insights and develop hypotheses to design effective experiences.
  4. Work with UX stakeholders in the business to gain a deep understanding of customer needs and business goals and collect valuable feedback and insight in order to drive product direction and design solutions that address customer needs and meet project KPIs.
  5. Perform tests on user interface elements.
  6. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment requiring transparent communication and quick turn-around expectations.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Technology-related field.
  2. 7+ years of visual and sensory systems design.
  3. 7+ years in user research, and UX/UI design for Web and Mobile interfaces.
  4. Exceptional proficiency in user-centric front-end web development.
  5. Advanced proficiency in prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, Zeplin, Abstract, and InVision or live code prototyping.
  6. Understanding of Accessible Design/Development principles.
  7. Sound knowledge of Atomic Design as well as component-based design-development.
  8. Demonstrated data and insights analysis to determine experience success metrics & KPIs.
  9. Advanced proficiency in complex system mapping and process mapping.
  10. Mastery of user research and testing, mapping user journeys and interactive flows.
  11. Strong communication and presentation skills as well as attention to detail.
  12. Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across teams.
  13. Basic knowledge of project scope estimates.
  14. Experience with federal projects is a plus .
  15. Due to federal guidelines, US Citizenship is required; candidate must be able to pass a federal background check and ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
