The role: You'll be our first Monetization Engineer. Middesk has reached a size where the complexity of our revenue-generation and collection systems requires full-time attention and iteration. You'll take care of tactical needs, and you'll help evolve our monetization systems to balance simplicity with sometimes complex customer pricing requirements.

This is how we see the role taking shape:

  • Own the monetization roadmap, including doing most of the requisite Engineering, and enlist support from other Engineering teams as needed.
  • Help Sales and Marketing shape our product-pricing structure by pushing to maintain invoicing-cycle simplicity while also meeting endemic pricing needs.
  • Partner with Finance and Sales and Marketing to understand then address important-and-urgent needs related to accounts receivable.
  • Ensure that invoicing cycles run smoothly each month. Address issues as they arise.
  • Understand our monetization strategy for all products, and create a roadmap that solves for them holistically.
