Job Requirements / Description

At GFiber, we believe in the power of great internet that lets people do more, helps communities get stronger and makes amazing things possible. We’re not just growing to build better internet experiences, we’re also building a welcoming place where people who want to make a difference can grow their careers.

GFiber is an Alphabet company that brings Google Fiber and Google Fiber Webpass internet services to homes and businesses across the United States. Our growing, inclusive team is expanding as we connect more cities and people.

At GFiber, our philosophy is build it, break it and then rebuild it better. This thinking is central to how we approach testing at Google. Unlike roles with similar names at other companies, Test Engineers at Google aren't manual testers -- you write scripts to automate testing and create tools so developers can test their own code. As a Test Engineer, you navigate Google's massive codebase, identify weak spots and constantly design better and creative ways to break software and identify potential problems. You'll have a huge impact on the quality of Google's growing suite of products and services.

You use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote proper engineering practice, bug prevention strategies, testability, accessibility, privacy, and other advanced quality concepts across products.

At GFiber, you will be providing users with the fastest services possible while constantly trying to push the boundaries and limits. Google Fiber works to go the very last mile, providing fiber-optic Internet connections directly to users' homes. You'll be building one of the fastest networks in America so that users can experience the future of broadband because we know that your Internet connection can never be too fast enough.
