A purpose-driven international renewable energy company is seeking a project engineer or technical project manager for their large-scale solar PV and battery energy storage projects.

Open opportunity: Project Engineer / Technical Project Manager
Based in: Houston TX or Washington D.C.
The position will manage and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering tasks for large-scale solar and storage projects from initiation to post-construction.
The Role
- Collaborate with teams for project support in development, design, and cost estimation.
- Gather and analyze technical data and validate Solar PV layouts and electrical diagrams.
- Perform energy modeling and support procurement with technical documents for RFPs.
- Layout design and optimization considering technical and environmental factors.
- Coordinate detailed engineering for construction projects and interact with EPC companies.
- Assist with technical aspects of proposals, contracts, and customer presentations, including site visits and compliance.
Skillset
- BA/BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Solar PV or Energy Storage commercial development including project development, design and engineering, and construction of energy generation projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel and PVsyst or PVcase.
- Experience of utility-scale solar or storage projects preferred.
- Understanding of NEC and codes pertaining to commercial Solar PV.
- Solid understanding of renewable energy markets and project lifecycle
