Senior Kubernetes/Linux Engineer

Open Systems Technologies Corporation is looking for a Senior Kubernetes/Linux Engineer to support a multi-domain technology platform which offers military and business decision makers, analysts, and users at all levels unprecedented access to authoritative enterprise data and structured analytics in a scalable, reliable, and secure environment.

Required Skills:

• Clearance: Secret clearance is required
• 3+ years working with Kubernetes or equivalent application platform. Ideal candidate has knowledge in:
• Containerization
• CI/CD Deployments
• IAC’ed Bootstrap and Deployment
• 3+ years working with AWS constructs, at least one major serverless application architecture/deployment. More than simply “experience building EC2s,” candidate has experience and knowledge around:
• VM Instances
• Cloud Specific Kubernetes Offerings (EKS, AKS, GKE)
• Storage Solutions (S3, EBS, EFS)
• Knowledge of DevOps, DevSecOps, and best practices, including:
• CI/CD
• Platform
• 5+ years of administrative experience with Linux operating systems, preferably RHEL
• Willingness to be onsite in the McLean/Crystal City/Alexandria, VA region up to 2-3 days per week

Preferred Skills:

• Active TS/SCI clearance and willing to upgrade to Polygraph
• 3+ years experience with Linux security configurations, STIGs, and risk mitigation
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
• Vendor certifications corresponding to the data products for which experience is claimed
• Postgraduate work, or advanced degree, in a data management discipline
• Some familiarity with Active Directory constructs
• Familiarity with AI/ML tooling (Kubeflow, Sagemaker)
• Familiarity with bash scripting
• Familiarity with "big data" tooling (Hadoop, Spark, RedShift, HDFS)
• Willingness to function on bleeding edge of commercial constructs in a secure and restricted environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proven collaboration skills.
