Sr. Software Engineer

Location: 45150 Russell Branch Parkway, Suite 203B, Ashburn, VA, 20147.

Duties:

1. Develop QA testing methodologies like agile, scrum, waterfall, V-model, etc. Work on insurance, banking, health care, logistics, retail & Ecommerce.
2. Gather functional and technical specifications, business analysis, QA, documentation of test plans, test strategy, test cases, integration, regression, and performance testing.
3. Design and create automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, TestNG, Maven, Hudson, Jenkins tools.
4. Implement keyword, data-driven framework, hybrid framework, and advanced framework behavioral driven development (BDD). Work with test driven development (TDD/BDD) by writing Gherkins language in Cucumber and create feature files, step definitions, runner files.
5. Automate AngularJS applications using Protractor and Jasmine with JavaScript.
6. Develop .spec and .config files for various scenarios in Protractor/Jasmine using describe, it, and expect. Implement CI/CD process using different tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, perform background jobs and analyze the pass or failed criteria in QA environment using Git and GitHub tools for maintaining version control and integration with CI/CD tools.
7. Implement functional testing (smoke testing, sanity testing, integration testing (top-down, bottom-up), GUI testing, regression).
8. Conduct system testing, user acceptance testing, black box testing, exploratory testing, and non-functional testing like performance, load, stress, and endurance testing.
9. Test plan, strategy, effort estimations, resource loading, lead, review, guide, and monitor the analysis, design, implementation, and execution of test cases and test suites. Setup and maintain test environments, recognize appropriate test automation areas, select tools, and ensure training of the team. Develop, enhance, execute, and maintain automation frameworks and automated test suites; document and analyze test results.
10. Develop web services-SOA architecture, RPCs, XML transactions, SOAP, HTTP, WSDL, and REST using various industry standard tools like SOAP UI, Rest Assured framework, perform cross-platform functional testing involving XML messages, constructing different field values, data, and validate HTTP requests and responses using SOAP UI. Work on services using different virtualization tools like LISA/SOAP UI/Parasoft.
11. Develop HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, HTTP, Angular, and jQuery, AngularJS filters, rotoscope, custom directives, single-page applications, and templates.
12. Automate web services using Rest Assured, Java, by following the TDD/BDD framework model.
13. Design, develop, and test mobile apps on the Android platform using Appium, execute scenarios, and use 3rd party emulators for Android OS, and simulators for iOS testing.
14. Identify and communicate dependencies, risks, and issues, prepare mitigation plans, participate in triage calls and QA meetings, track all issues to closure, and prepare test closure and summary reports.
15. Define the scope of automation testing within the context of each sprint/delivery. Responsible for acquiring business/testing knowledge on sprints which comprise user stories and feature scoped for the product.

Position Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Information Systems, Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, Engineering (Any) or related field plus two years of experience in any position/title providing experience with JAVA and SOAP.

Special Requirements: Qualifying experience must include experience with JAVA and SOAP.

Position requires travel/relocation to various unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S. with expenses paid by the employer.

Wage: $114,566.00
