NextGen Federal Systems is an innovative technology and professional services provider specializing in advanced software solutions and comprehensive mission and business support services. We are looking for a Senior DevOps engineer who is team oriented and has experience building DevOps toolchains.
Responsibilities
- Work with an engineering team to develop the DevOps solution within an Agile Project Management framework for a DoD mission critical program.
- Work with cross-functional teams, architects, and across stakeholders to build and optimize the software factory platform to enable DevOps transformations in the AWS IL-5 and IL-6 environments.
- Participate in team scrum, program meetings, and architectural reviews.
- Provide inputs for the technical solutions team, and work to complete assigned action items.
Qualifications
- Experience with Agile software development, DevOps best practices, and CI/CD pipelines
- 10+ years development or operations experience supporting Information Technology Operations
- 5+ years experience with DevOps projects
- Experience with Gitlab/Bitbucket and Nexus
- Familiarity with Jenkins and GitLab runners, able to create CI/CD pipelines
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot tool installations and utilize scripts for process automation
- Experience with Ansible automation, Docker, managing end user tools access, and Linux administration
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with mix of Helm charts, Dockerfiles, Terraform, Ansible, Bash and YAML
- Experience with Kubernetes
- An Active Secret level security clearance
- An MA or MS degree is required. A bachelors degree and 18 years of experience or a total of 22 years of total experience may be substituted for the MA/MS degree requirement.
- Ability to learn new technologies, attention to detail, and strong customer-facing skills
- Secret Clearance required
