This opportunity resides with Fleet Sustainment , a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. For 40 years, the U.S. Navy has entrusted HII to maintain and modernize the vast majority of its fleet.

This is an UNPAID internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program for transitioning active-duty US military personnel. The intern will actively train on meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior company leadership.

For this internship, the SkillBridge intern will train as an Engineering Technician 3 within HII-Mission Technologies, reporting to a designated HII Supervisor and working alongside Systems Engineers, with the goal of learning the maintenance actions and duties required of our Engineering Technicians in support of the Navy Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) system.

Minimum Qualifications

Active-Duty Military ONLY within final 180 days of active-duty service. Applications accepted within final 12 months of active-duty service.

• Navy Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) system Technician experience 2 years
• Navy Combat Systems experience
• Secret security clearance required
