Sr. Graphic Designer
Memorial Products is a fast growing family owned business located in Cranston, RI providing print and design services for the funeral services industry. We have been in business for over 20 years helping funeral homes create meaningful tributes that celebrate and honor the families they serve. The company was built upon delivering high quality products and great customer service to the funeral homes that we serve. We produce a wide variety of printed materials such as high-end prayer cards, thank you cards, register books, and marketing related materials to support our customers and the families they serve.
We are currently in search of a full time Sr. Graphic Designer with proofreading experience with a strong background in Adobe Suite, Indesign and Google Suite (Gmail, Google Sheets). Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced, tight deadline environment with a goal of providing our customers quick, accurate proofs and printed materials. A meticulous eye is needed to ensure that products are guided through the proofing process, printed, produced, and packaged for shipping while meeting our QA standards. A strong sense of typography and composition are a must. We are looking for someone who works with a sense of urgency and is willing to learn about our business, customers and process to add value across all aspects of the design and production process.
Primary responsibilities would include:
- Reviewing artwork and copy for grammatical and spelling errors
- Ensuring accuracy in artwork development, trafficking, printing, packaging and shipping
- Assisting with order entry and other quality control related projects
- Quality Control Management for design development, production and shipping
- Leveraging your background in Graphic Design to ensure aesthetic and Photo editing meets our standards
- You have experience with basic photo editing/retouching/manipulation skills
- Strong sense of typography and composition
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills regarding design and customer service
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Strong Attention to Detail
- 5+ years experience with Adobe CS with focus on Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
- 3+ years experience as a Graphic Designer or Pre-Press or similar position
Nice to have:
- Ripping/Printing files using Fiery EFI software
