RA-d2m-134 Hull Structure Engineer

As part of its recruitment activities for highly qualified profiles, d2m Services is looking for a Hull Structure Engineer. Our client is a ship design and marine engineering company specialising in services to new buildings and retrofit of vessels and offshore floating platforms for oil and gas and MRE industries.

Your role within our company as Hull Structure Engineer:

• You are responsible for the delivery of hull structural design and calculations according to Class Rules and Client specifications.
• You supervise all activities conducted by project designers and draftsmen (hull construction drawings) and ensure a high level of technical quality.
• You share any lessons learned from day-to-day project execution.

Examples of projects include: Basic Design FPSO hull, Methanol retrofit, Carbon Capture retrofit, Floating Wind asset.

Requirements

• You hold a Master's degree in marine engineering and justify a first experience of 3-5 years at least in an equivalent position.
• You have knowledge in offshore structures and naval architecture with a specialty in structural analysis of global and detailed hull structures (with FEMAP Software and Class software VeriStar Hull). Preferably, you have knowledge of structural interfaces with related disciplines, i.e., integration of mooring structures, cranes, topsides, and other equipment.
• Knowledge of CLASS Rules (ABS, BV, DNV), IMO, and international standards is necessary.
• To succeed in your future job, you would also need a strong work ethic and team spirit in various cultural environments, excellent editorial and communication skills, and adaptability to changing and innovative working environments. You are able to do your work autonomously and report any challenges or difficulties.
• Fluency in standard and technical English is required.
