Senior Staff Field Application Engineer

A worldwide leading RISC-V processors company.

Based in South Korea, your role as the Senior Staff Field Application Engineer will be working with some of the most advanced SoC design teams in the world, and your major duties are as shown below:

Responsibilities

1. Independently own, manage, and drive customer engagements - including evaluations, product demos, run customer benchmarks, PPA analysis, FPGA bring up, and more.
2. Work together with the sales team and take technical ownership of the sales process.
3. Independently and proactively seek out answers and devise solutions with ingenuity.
4. Understand and interpret customers’ technical requirements & propose solutions to help build best-in-class RISC-V SoCs.
5. The Senior Staff Field Application Engineer is the voice of the customer internally with an ability to clearly articulate detailed technical requirements to various internal stakeholders.
6. Support Marketing activities as needed, in the form of webinars, blog posts, writing application notes, supporting tradeshows, etc.

Requirements

1. BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 8+ years of proven industry experience.
2. In-depth, working knowledge of CPU architecture and SoC architecture.
3. Hands-on expertise with either HW development (RTL/implementation flows, verification/validation, backend flows, FPGA flows) or SW development (C/assembly, OS/RTOS, IDEs, Compiler/Debuggers) is a strong plus.
4. Experience with CPU IP based on ARM, MIPS, or RISC-V is a plus.
5. Experience with automotive safety/FuSA development/deployment methodologies is a plus.
6. Track record of successful customer engagements.
7. Self-starter, able to work independently, and able to take ownership & initiative in driving technology/product interactions with the customer.
8. Willing to travel & be in front of customers 25% of the time.

Salary ranges from USD$ 144-180K depending on ability.
