We are looking for an entry-level construction Project Engineer to assist Project Managers in running construction projects in a dynamic work environment. Candidates must be a self-starter, energetic, have good computer skills, and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing pre-construction services, budget analysis, creating construction schedules, contract negotiation, and subcontractors’ buyout.
  • Monitor project schedule and budget and report & communicate status to the client through attending or conducting weekly on-site project meetings.
  • Assist with on-site management as required to ensure the success of the project.
  • Responsible for the proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.
  • Maintains open, daily communication with Superintendent and Field Staff.
  • Assist project with regular project cost updates, including monthly profit estimates, and worksheets, invoice requisition processing for owners and subcontractors, and Suppliers, regular construction schedule updates, overall project quality control, and project close-out procedures.

 

Requirements:

  • Degreed candidate with a preference in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related degree. 
  • Industry-related work experience is a plus.
  • Avid user of technology, and inclination to learn and use new things
  • Should be proficient in computer programs including excel Notes/Word/Excel, and Premavera/Suretrack and keen to learn new technology.
  • Candidate should possess the ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders and to encourage a friendly work environment. 
  • Requires the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
