Taro is seeking a Sr Network Engineer within its US Network Group in Hawthorne, NY. The Sr Network Engineer will report into Sr Network Resource/Manager and will be flexible with work hours to co-ordinate across US and India times. The Sr Network Engineer will have good knowledge of LAN/WAN/Security/VoIP technologies. The Sr Network Engineer will work with business units and other IT functions to assess, recommend, deploy appropriate solutions for network connectivity and access control and monitor, troubleshoot and resolve any issues. The Sr Network Engineer will co-ordinate with external vendors for managed services to ensure maximum uptime and stability for the network. The Sr Network Engineer will also work with global teams on global network and security initiatives.
Duties and responsibilities
- Knowledge of LAN/WLAN/SDWAN Technologies
- Understanding of Layer2/3 network theories and protocols
- Router/switching configurations, management, and maintenance
- Firewall technologies (Cisco ASA/Firepower/FDM/FMC, Palo Alto, CheckPoint)
- Spanning Tree protocols and troubleshooting
- Routing protocols (EIGRP/OSPF/BGP)
- VoIP technologies including, but not limited to, Cisco Unity Call Manager
- Cisco IOS/NXOS knowledge
- Wireless technologies (Cisco WLC)
- Network Security/NAC/Radius (Cisco ACS/TACACS+/ISE)
- Site to Site VPN configurations and Troubleshooting
- Network monitoring and management tools
- Log debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Cabling (Copper/Fiber)
- Documentation (Visio/Excel)
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of effectively leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to navigate complex challenges.

Qualifications
- 4 year degree in Comp Sci or Network/Net Security related studies and/or
- 10+ years of Networking with a focus on office/manufacturing sites
- CCNA/CCNP/CompTIA Net+ (Preferred, but not necessary)
