This opportunity resides with Cyber & Electronic Warfare , a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. HII works within our nation’s intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace.
HII is seeking a highly motivated Software Applications Developer (remote) to support our Air Force Weather program. In this role you will be part of a team that works to support the mission of the 14th Weather Squadron in Ashville NC.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
- Support the development of applications within the framework of the AF Weather software platforms.
- Establish and maintain infrastructure in a repeatable fashion, i.e., continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment.
- Write custom scripts to install and configure code for deployment to multiple instances.
- Support activities including identifying, investigating, and fixing system bugs.
- Participate in code review and disciplined DevOps activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 3 years relevant experience with a Master's in a related field; 0 years experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- Clearance: Must have a Secret, Top Secret preferred.
- Must be a self-starter comfortable working with remote teams.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with Web Development/Technologies.
- Experience with Relational Database/PostgreSQL.
