AMS E&S is seeking engineers with experience and interest in electronic assembly and packaging design including:

Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Engineer:

1. Electrical Engineering or related STEM field degree: Bachelors of Science with 9 years of RF/microwave experience; Masters degree with 7 years of RF/microwave experience; PhD degree with 4 years of experience
2. Ability to develop solutions to a broad variety of RF/Microwave design and test related problems of complex difficulty
3. Established subject matter expertise in one or more areas of RF/Microwave discipline
4. US Citizenship is required
5. Proven knowledge of electrical engineering design software and equipment
6. Effective verbal and written communication skills
7. Ability to design, implement, install and maintain electrical systems
8. Technical Team Leadership
9. Must obtain final secret clearance prior to starting.
10. Productive in a team working environment

Preferred Qualifications for Senior Principal role:

1. RF and mixed signal printed circuit board and circuit card assembly level design
2. RF budgeting, frequency planning, RF chain analysis and modeling, schematic capture, electromagnetic simulation, signal integrity analysis
3. RF lab equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, etc.
4. Electronic troubleshooting from component to assembly levels
5. Complex data reduction and analysis
6. Product life cycle support from concept through production support
7. Experience in the Aerospace or Defense Industry
8. Ability to provide solutions to a broad variety of RF/Microwave design and test related problems of complex difficulty
9. Develop and oversee production test of Receiver/Exciter modules
10. Work with ASIC and MMIC designers to implement and evaluate device functionality
11. Designing, modeling, and verifying RF, microwave, and mixed signal subsystem assemblies
12. Utilizing world class manufacturing capabilities for prototyping through full rate production
13. Supporting products throughout the product life cycle
14. RF and mixed signal product types include antenna radiators, circulators, device interposers, filters, manifolds, receiver/exciter assemblies, signal conditioning assemblies, signal generators, and transmit/receive assemblies

Software tools: MAtlab, DX designer, Objected Oriented Programming

Salary Range: $127,000 - $190,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers.
