We are seeking an Assistant Technical Designer who will be driven by the technical aspect of the design process for our socks business! They will work closely with the legwear tech design team by supporting them in fittings, measuring and evaluating samples, and updating specs and Tech packs on PLM. This role is for a candidate who is organized and can work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and evaluate samples from vendors against correlating tech Packs.
- Prepares for fit sessions, ensuring correct samples are available according to the fit list.
- Take detailed notes and photos during fit sessions
- Update tech packs in PLM under supervisor’s direction.
- Maintain and track all new spec on Airtable.
- Upload any spec images and technical design pages to PLM.
- Ensure spec files are organized and up to date from server to PLM format.
- Maintain style files on protos.
- Organize and maintain all Nahm board storage and weight scale usage.
- Communicate with Design and Color team on samples being passed and passing samples to the applicable cross-functional teams.
- Track Fit samples from vendors.
- Develop and build technical and communication skills under supervisor’s guidance.
- Work under the direction of the Technical Designer to ensure full partnership with team on all development sampling and bulk production.

Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in Technical Design, Product Development, or related field in apparel industry
- Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and Excel experience
- Working knowledge of garment construction
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication skills
Annual salary range: $50,000 - $55,000
