About The Role
Humane's System Software team enables on-device experiences to take full advantage of our hardware capabilities. We collaborate with internal and external partners in a high-leverage environment that enables us to spend a majority of our time developing solutions that are unique to our hardware, sensors, algorithms, and interaction models. What You Might Do
- Android development: Java/Kotlin/C++
- Implement platform services and applications for device management/configuration
- Customize operating system frameworks to enable delightful device interactions
- Develop automated tests to measure performance/stability
Essential Qualifications
- 8+ years experience developing system software on Linux/Android devices
- Familiarity with SoC architecture
Preferred Skills
- Experience developing SW applications and services on AOSP
- Experience with embedded Linux/Android, AIDL
- Experience with device firmware updates, OTA, provisioning
- Awareness of power/performance tradeoffs in SW design
- Ability to collaborate and contribute in a psychologically safe and healthy team environment
Salary Range: $185,000-$240,000
Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time Employees)
- The salary range for this role is listed above. Final salary offered is based upon multiple factors including individual job-related qualifications, education, experience, knowledge and skills.
