Job Description:
The DevOps Engineer I is responsible for technical activities for clients. They should be able to independently solve basic problems and train with other engineers and cloud engineering basics. They will partner with their team for complex problems.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Gathers client requirements, evaluates options, and selects and implements technologies that best suit the client’s needs.
- Performs security, performance, and availability assessments.
- Designs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains computer systems.
- Deploys, manages, and maintains secure, scalable network systems using technology from a variety of vendors.
- Learns (and shares) new skills through independent research, formal training, and industry events.
- Automates tasks using DevOps tools.
- Performs other duties as required and assigned.
Required Qualifications
- A four-year degree or similar experience, preferably in computer science or a related field
- Two to five years of hands-on system administration or system engineering experience
- Interest in learning new skills and keeping pace with changing technologies
- Ability to problem solve and work with others to find the best solution
- Precision in your work and attention to all details
- On-point, genuine interpersonal and written communication skills
- Capability to work independently and self-motivate

Preferred Qualifications
- Mid-level Linux skills
- Experience with DevOps Methodology and Tools
- Experience with Ansible and Terraform
- Experience with CI/CD Methodology
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
- Ability to implement a LAMP or other application stack in a public cloud
- Understanding of a microservice architecture
- Experience with at least one programming language, Python preferred
- The Linux Foundation Certified Kubernetes Administrator Certification
- AWS certified associate level or higher (AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer)

- Moderate or advanced keyboard usage

Base Pay Range : ($70,000 - $80,000) salary range offered for this position. However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate’s experience, location, and qualifications.
