Shift: 2nd Shift (typically 5:00pm - 3:30am, Monday - Friday)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC 2nd Shift Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CNC machinery, strong technical abilities, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts with precision and efficiency. As a CNC Machine Operator on 2nd shift, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce components that meet our stringent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operation: Operate CNC machines including lathes and mills to produce parts according to specifications.
- Quality Control: Perform routine inspections of workpieces using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Adjust machine settings as necessary to maintain quality.
- Maintenance: Conduct regular machine inspections to ensure machine is running properly and filled with coolant/oil.
- Documentation: Complete required documentation including production reports, inspection records, and machine logs.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including engineers and supervisors, to ensure efficient workflow and resolve any issues that arise.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience preferred
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in CNC operations is a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. Strong understanding of CNC machine operation, including setup and troubleshooting.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with various CNC controls (e.g., FANUC, Haas) and software. Knowledge of different types of cutting tools and materials.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality. Ability to make fine adjustments and perform accurate measurements.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
