Job Posting Estimator – NJ Electrical

• Minimum 3 year experience in estimating commercial electrical construction projects

Preferred college degree in electrical engineering or construction management

• Prepare quantity take-offs of electrical and low voltage systems
• Prepare detailed estimates including assigning material and labor values to take-offs
• Acquire vendor pricing on specialty materials, equipment and systems
• Partner with other Estimators to ensure a complete scope of work is defined and pricing review
• Evaluate and assist with subcontractor and vendor scope and pricing review
• Attend scope review meetings
• Prepare scope letters and proposals
• Participate in job-walks, project kick-off and turn-over meetings
• Prepare and manage communications internally and with general contractors or construction managers for assigned projects.
• Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally be required to commute to field locations
• Knowledge of electrical power, lighting and low voltage electrical systems
• Candidate must possess a thorough understanding of electrical design documents in various stages of design completion
• Working knowledge of Bluebeam and Accubid estimating software is preferred
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-task environment and independently
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Must interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

• Ascend and descend a step with a height of 17 in. from floor and ascend and descend 3 rungs of ladder, the first rung at 21 in. from the ground.
