Senior Civil Engineer

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Senior Civil Engineer in the Coral Gables FL area.

This is a full-time direct hire position with benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform civil engineering plans preparation in water and wastewater distribution and conveyance infrastructure, focused on site design project components including site layout, infrastructure piping, roadways, paving, grading, drainage, and stormwater infrastructure.
2. Review contractor submittals for conformance with contract plans and specifications, and evaluate requests for information as part of engineering services during construction.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
2. Have a minimum of 7 years of directly-relevant experience in civil/site development; registered professional engineer is preferred, but not required.
3. Have developed working drawings for civil site plans (layout, plan and profile, grading, drainage, and paving).
4. Possess experience with the planning and design of facility layout and site design projects.
5. Strong drainage design experience is preferred; Cascade 2001 and/or ICPR Version 4 is preferred.
6. Have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
7. Possess strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
8. Have Miami-Dade County design/permitting experience is preferred, but not required.
